COVID-19

PedBikeTrans is known for its sense of community built on getting together and sharing information and ideas from the world of walking and cycling. Now, more than ever, the world needs voices like ours. In this spirit we will be adapting and looking for ways to keep the discussions happening. Because in-person events will be limited this year, we will be holding over all membership fees until Jan 2021. If you have already renewed your membership for 2020, your membership will be valid until Jan 2022.

Join us for another online event to hear about some ongoing work to develop a LTS method for Australia.

Level of traffic stress: new directions

The concept of Level of Traffic Stress has been widely adopted worldwide, including in Australia. Several states and cities cite the need to develop cycle networks with low levels of traffic stress to encourage a broad cross-section of people to consider cycling for transport. Yet there currently is no Australian method for determining the LTS of a cycle route.

This seminar will examine the draft Victorian LTS method, how it enhances the Oregon LTS method, and how the Victorian Department of Transport plans to engage with industry and users on the LTS method.
