In this joint event with AITPM, we'll learn about emerging new Queensland active transport planning guidance which we can use as transport professionals and advocates that support the planning, design and delivery of best practice outcomes for our communities for walking, and riding.

Planning for Safe Transport Infrastructure at Schools (PSTIS) guideline – development of the bike parking guidance update

The new “Bicycle parking at public transport: A strategy for South East Queensland"

They’ll be joined by other industry professionals who will speak to additional recent walking and bike riding guidance, planning and best practice.

2 October 2024 - SAVE THE DATE: Translating Transport Safety Measures to Community Outcomes
Hannah Richardson, Director of Traffic and Transport Engineering at PSA Consulting will be presenting an outline of the opportunities and challenges we are faced with to implement change in our communities through multi-disciplinary collaboration. The presentation will discuss the impact of the way we measure broader outcomes in society to make informed decisions towards the vision of cities and regions, including safety statistics and liveability scores.

28 November 2024 - SAVE THE DATE: Annual General Meeting & End of Year Event
It's time again for our AGM and Educational, Short, Fast and Fun Presentation Night! As 2024 comes to a close, we are looking for volunteers for our 2025 committee and would welcome your nomination.

We are also seeking speakers to present on any topic that touches on active transport, be it your holiday, your ride to work, cycles in fashion, or a serious topic. Presentations should be 5 to 6 minutes long and delivered rapidly (hence the title Short Fast and Fun). Students - this is also a great opportunity to practice your presentation skills!!
