Inter-modal Competition on Brisbane's Bus and Rail Networks  |  Dr Barbara Yen

Dr Barbara Yen, Research Fellow at Griffith University's Urban Research Program, presented her research on Brisbane's busway network. Specifically, her research explores the inter-modal competition of busway and rail passengers’ travel patterns. The results indicate that busways are more competitive than heavy rail due to more frequent service with higher accessibility to the stations. The presentation was followed by a robust question and answer time and a lively discussion.
