Pedestrian Research Walkshop
15 November 2017

PedBikeTrans members and/or contributors were invited to participate in a walking survey and subsequent workshop as part of research being undertaken by Griffith University’s Cities Research Institute. The research is focused on developing and testing a Pedestrian Level of Service (PLOS) audit instrument for footpaths in commercial streets.

Participants traversed a pre-defined route through Brisbane’s CBD during the peak afternoon period and provided a LOS score for each individual footpath segment. Upon returning to the workshop venue, the participants provided scores on a number of different criteria to assess their relative importance to PLOS.

Thank you to Griffith University for providing PedBikeTrans’ members and contributors the opportunity to be involved in such a useful and beneficial study.
